In the book "The Art of Seeing" Well known Colorado Photographer and Author, John Fielder made a comment that really sums up my goal for my photography. In a page of personal comments, he writes "the physical act of being in the wilderness might not be as important as the mere knowledge that it exists"

While I do put great importance on "being in the wilderness" my hopes for my photography is to bring to everyone a sense of the wilderness. Images, moving or still, can never to justice to the experience of the wide open spaces. If my images can trigger a desire to visit and absorb the awesomeness of raw nature, then I have assisted in a path to a more peaceful life, for once we have experienced nature in its pure beauty, then we will always carry the knowledge that exists.
